INTANGIBLE SYMBOL
Reiki symbols. The symbol displayed above represents power or defined as : Place the power of the universe here. I believe it is intangible as it is has no real structure in determining its relevance to power.
The No entry symbol is an intangible symbol as we all know what it means but why do we all know what it means?
The symbol for wifi is seen as an intangible symbol as it represents something that can not be physically grasped.
On reflecting upon Intangible symbols i definitely can say it is probably the hardest topic throughout symbols and distribution we have looked at. I defining an intangible symbol is almost close to impossible or just completely nonsensical. Intangible symbols are hard to grasp, but are seen throughout day to day life, noticing that they are an intangible symbol is something else but after my class of symbols and distribution I can comfortably say I have an idea of how to do this.

SOUND SYMBOL
My sound symbol portrays the increase in volume. Although simple i believe it is quite effective. Creating sound symbols is probably one of the easier symbols to create as I believe the simpler it is the more recognizable and effective. Sound symbols are defined normally using a speaker as the initial symbol to be recognized, I believe my symbol does not need this to understand what it means, if placed in the right context.

WK8 POSTER EXERCISE
This is the poster I designed for 'Whack-Ups' It basically describes our cause as a design initiative without giving away to much information leaving the audience in wonder. The poster displays the various quotes we are using throughout our distribution posters. This poster would be used as a form of advertising rather than a distribution of ours, considering the use of posters is our main distribution method. For instance it would best work in a magazine or as a flyer, still leaving the viewer in anticipation.
SYMBOL OF SCIENTOLOGY
The "S" stands for Scientology, the lower triangle is called the A-R-C triangle and the upper is knows as the K-R-C triangle. A-R-C refers to affinity, reality and communication. K-R-C refers to Knowledge, Responsibility and control. Although I think Scientology is a crock of shit religion, i do like their symbol. The multiple layers within the symbol and how they overlap each other creates a real sense of depth making the symbol stand out form the page. Your eye is immediately drawn to the S that is interlocked with the two triangles, letting the viewer know that it stand for Scientology.

PIXEL PORTRAITS
Nigel
Neil
Desiree
This exercise required us to create pixel portraits of lecturers working at billy blue. They could be as realistic or unrealistic as we liked as long as they displayed the techniques of a pixel portrait. I enjoyed this exercise as it was one that let me explore the creative side of computer graphics. All my pixel portraits are quite unrealistic in the sense every lecture looks straight out of a child's cartoon or picture book. My personal favorite is Neil due to his distinct glasses, that make him look like hes still stuck in the eighties. Pixel portraits are something I could see myself being interested in further into the future.

REBUS: i want beer
This class exercise required us to create a rebus as a group. We chose to say I want beer as it is only the truth. The idea of a rebus is for words to be represented by pictures and individual letters. Rebus' are clever in the sense that they can be read on an international level through the use of pictures. I have always noticed rebus' but never knew that they were a type of symbol in their own existence. I enjoyed creating this rebus within our group as the process required us to think what words could be interpreted through pictures. After enough though we came up with what we wanted to say and how to portray this through the use of pictures.
REVOLUTIONARY SYMBOLS THAT HAVE CHANGED
The Tank Man, or the Unknown Rebel, is the nickname of an anonymous man who stood in front of a column of Chinese type 59 tanks the morning after the Chinese military forcibly removed protesters from in and around Beijing's Tianaman Square on June 4, 1989.
The revolutionary Symbol of Standing up to the tank has since been replicated throughout Television, Film and the Internet making a mockery of the once courageous unknown rebel.
